שניהם דורשים שיהיה לכם את המסמך על המחשב (כקובץ Word, PDF, Jpg, Tiff וכדומה), כך שגם אם יש לכם את המסמך פיזית, אתם יכולים לסרוק אותו ואז לשלוח את המסמך הסרוק.

נכון לזמן כתיבת שורות אלה, השירות החינמי שלהם מוגבל ל-2 פקסים ביממה, ובכל פקס ניתן להעלות קובץ אחד בלבד שיישלח לנמען. האמת, בשביל רוב הצרכים זה מספיק לגמרי.

כשאני צריך לשלוח פקסים מהבית (זה קורה גם לטובים ביותר!), אני משתמש במודם פקס פיצפון, שנראה כמו דיסק און קי ומתחבר מצד אחד למחשב דרך ה-USB ומצד שני לחוט טלפון הרגיל שמגיע מהקיר:
